Our Gong Collection
Planetary
Tuned. Rich overtones. Each Paiste Planet gong is calibrated to a specific planetary frequency (Cosmic Octave), so you get a clear fundamental (Each labeled with a Specific note and Hz range Play great in a set of planet gongs.
Sound Creation
Character voices. Designed with distinct, often darker/earthier timbres and pronounced textures; not single-note tuned Very loud, captivating attention.
Paiste Sound Creation Gongs Come in 5 sizes..
Symphonic
Wide spectrum. Not tuned to one pitch; huge, evolving wash with many overtones. versatile for sound baths. Symphonic Brilliant — Same spectrum as Symphonic, with a slightly quicker “shiney” attack due to the polished finish.
Bronze
Paiste Bronze gongs have an earthy, warm voice with a more centered, “note-like” core and a slightly quicker decay than nickel-silver models. They’re ideal when you want definition over wash—perfect for intimate sound baths, melodic cues, and layering with voice or bowls.
Accent
Paiste Accent (nipple) gongs produce a clear, bell-like fundamental with focused projection and long, singing sustain, offering far less “wash” than Symphonic or Planet lines. They’re ideal for melodic punctuation and call-and-response in sound baths—cutting through gently without overwhelming the room.
Deco
Paiste Deco gongs are decorative/light-duty pieces—great for visual presence and light accent strikes, with a modest dynamic range and short sustain. They’re best as ambiance or entry chimes, not as the primary instrument in a therapeutic sound bath.
